A Whole Situation (2025)
A Whole Situation is a high-energy, musically complex work set to a track by Karizma. Created through an accelerated choreographic process, the piece challenged the dancers to engage deeply with intricate rhythms, responding with movement to the layers of piano, drums, and electronic textures. Many of the dancers came from commercial dance backgrounds and were introduced to the foundations of authentic Hip-Hop and House dance for the first time. This process was both educational and demanding, as they explored new movement languages, styles, and histories. Their commitment, adaptability, and enthusiasm brought the piece to life. A Whole Situation resulted into a vibrant, rhythmically driven work that pushed their artistic growth and honored the roots of the culture.
