Shakia and Kia the Key & Company were the headlining performance of the 2023 Wandering Dance Festival in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Put on by the Berkshire Theater Group in association with Jacob’s Pillow, WDF was a weekend of workshops and performances celebrating dance in the Berkshire area. At the festival, Shakia taught the featured festival masterclass and shared performance excerpts from Genesis and Take Back, a repertory piece created by Shakia in the fall of 2023 and performed by Five College Dance students.
