Battle My City is my choreographic tribute to the South Bronx—its resilience, its struggle, and its cultural brilliance. Rooted in the birthplace of Hip-Hop, this piece honors how people used music, movement, visual art as essential outlets for self-expression in the face of social and economic hardship. Inspired in part by the spirit of the song The Message, Battle My City channels raw energy, storytelling, and strength to celebrate the power of creativity as both resistance and healing.
