Our House (2018)
Our House is a choreographic celebration of the power of House bringing people together across race, culture, and lived experiences. House music and dance heals, empowers, and creates space for joy, grief, resilience, and connection. At the core of the work is rhythm: the pulse, the heartbeat, the groove that unites us. Our House reminds us that through movement and music, we remember how to be in community, how to listen to one another, and how to honor both our differences and our togetherness.
Our House (Community Day at Jacob’s Pillow) 2019
My work Our House was invited to be performed on the iconic Inside/Out stage at Jacob’s Pillow as part of their Community Day programming. It was an honor to bring dancers from Mount Holyoke College and the Five College Dance to share this work on such a historic national platform. This opportunity that highlighted both the impact of the piece and the strength of the community behind it.
